Central Elementary School

Education is Central

Welcome to Central Elementary School!

On behalf of the Central Elementary School staff, I am pleased to welcome you to our school. We trust that the contents of this website will provide information that is informative and helpful, allowing parents, students and community members to stay connected with our school.

The mission of Central Elementary School is to guide individuals towards acquiring the knowledge, skills and attitudes that will help them maximize their potential for leading productive lives. This is made evident through Central’s commitment to provide a well rounded education in a variety of academic fields, along with providing students with numerous extra-curricular opportunities. The Central Elementary School staff is committed to establishing a safe and secure school environment that allows our students to flourish and grow intellectually, emotionally, and socially.

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit Central Elementary School’s website. We are proud of this school, the achievements of our students, and the many contributions our staff regularly make to provide a challenging educational experience for all students. If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, please don’t hesitate to stop by the elementary office, call or e-mail.

You may have heard your child use the slogan Raider Pride, or you may have seen our posters displayed with the Raider Pride slogan.  This slogan is part of our PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention Supports) program, which we adopted four years ago here at Central Elementary.  Our mission with PBIS is to recognize the positive attributes of our students and staff, teach character education, and create a positive learning environment for all our students.  Raider Pride stands for, Positive Words and Actions, Responsibility for Self, Integrity and Honor, Display Self-Control, Excellence in Everything.  Each month, students will learn a new character trait and teachers will use activities, books, and videos to introduce and teach the character trait.  During the month of September, students will learn about respect.  The teachers made a lip dub to show the students about Respect.  Click on the YouTube link below to view the video.

 Media Center Mural
This last spring we were fortunate to have a very talented Minneapolis artist by the name of Hugh Bennewitz work with our students to create a new mural in our cafeteria.  Additionally, he brought new life to our media center with a creative, literacy inspired, mural.  Below you will find a link to a time lapsed video of the creation of the media center mural.

Attention Parents: Sign up for parent portal access
What student information can parents access through Infinite Campus Parent Portal?
Parents can access contact information, student assignments and grades, schedules, attendance records, bus information and lunch accounts.  Additionally, parents can sign up to receive alerts concerning lunch account balances and attendance.  Recently, parents have also been given access to add funds to their student's lunch account.
How do parents access Infinite Campus Parent Portal?
Parents and/or guardians who have an Activation Key, or who have created a Campus Portal account, can access the system by going to the Parent/Student Portal, and logging into the system.
How do parents sign up for an Infinite Campus Parent Portal Account?
Parents/Guardians who have never registered for an account must complete the Parent Portal Activation Key Request Form, and return it to your child's school.  An Activation Key will be emailed to the address provided on the form after the form has been returned to a school office.  Parents with children in multiple schools only need to contact one of the buildings.  The Infinite Campus Parent Portal allows access to the information about all enrolled children within the family.
Questions regarding information posted about your child should go to your child's school.  If you are having issues logging on to the Campus Parent Portal, or you have any other questions about the capabilities of Infinite Campus, please contact the Elementary School office at 952-467-7300.
