Brooke providing education support to student

Pre-K Educational Support

Kurious Kids’ Preschool is proud of the educational support they are able to provide for all students with the help of the MN Reading Corps program.  Through this program, Reading Corps tutors work with students in the preschool classroom to help them strengthen their literacy skills and assure they enter Kindergarten with the tools they need to be successful learners.

Tutors work with classroom teachers to support and enhance the classroom experience, and they reinforce the importance of home/school communication  by sending home weekly “Read, Write, Talk” bags that children can share at home.  During distance learning, tutors have been able to continue their support by working with students online, and offering in person support and literacy interventions to students who attend Central’s Extended Day Child Care Program.  Through the years MN Reading Corps has been able to help develop confidence and kindergarten readiness in hundreds of Kurious Kids students.  We are thankful to have MN Reading Corps as a part of our preschool program.

Kurious Kids Preschool will be taking registration for the 2021-22 school in March.  Please watch for more information coming out in the local newspaper or on the Central Public Schools website at  https://www.raiders.central.k12.mn.us under the Community Education tab.  For more information, email Julie Kuenzel at jkuenzel@isd108.org or call the office at 952-467-7391.
