Thank you to everyone who participated in the Seasons of Giving initiative before the holidays! We were able to help 17 families, which includes 49 kids, while successfully filling 145 tags. This would not have been possible without the incredible contributions from staff, school groups, community members, and local businesses so thank you for supporting the Central Community! Thank you to everyone who participated and made this initiative so meaningful. Your kindness has made a real difference in the lives of many families this holiday season!

It was a somber but educational day in AP US History today. Students held a memorial service for Abraham Lincoln and researched historical figures and delivered a eulogy representing the point of view of this figure in regards to Lincoln's legacy for our country. The historical figures represented included Robert E. Lee, Ulysses S. Grant, Harriet Tubman, James Buchanan, and Andrew Johnson among others. Mrs. Kester started the memorial service with a recitation of O Captain, My Captain by Walt Whitman which was written as a tribute to Abraham Lincoln following his untimely death.
