How do you celebrate being 100 days brighter? With activities of course! Kindergarten students got to have a 100 day workout in the atrium, had a 100 item museum where they brought 100 items of their choice, built LEGO towers with 100 bricks or less, and even tried to solve the age old question of how many licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop.

Don’t forget that the Central Public Schools Preschool Open House is on February 12 and new family registration begins February 13. Let’s meet another preschool teacher! Mrs. Pysick has been a teacher for 16 years and loves being able to connect with students and their families. She loves seeing young learners have growth in self confidence with social and academic skills while of course having a bunch of fun. This year, she came up with a great way to keep kids connected to their parents while also helping with learning! “We have had a year of missing our moms and dads! We came up with a plan to see what our parents were doing while students were at school called Parents Be Real at Work. Parents took snap shots of themselves at work and sent it to us,” said Mrs. Pysick. “The children also participated by having the teachers take snapshots of them working at school to send back. It was a great bridge between home and school!”
